Introduction

Employees are the most valuable assets that every organization can boast of, it is employees
that determine the success or failure of an organization. The Human Resources (HR) department
is the department that is entrusted by the organization with the responsibility of getting the right
team that can help to achieve its goals (Belcourt & McBey, 2016). It is one thing to set goals and
it’s another to get a competent team that has the ability to make a difference. Strategic Human
Resource interacts with other notable departments within the organization in setting goals and
creating strategies. It is actually the HR department that implements the goals of each department
and as well as those of the organization on the overall (Strategic human resources, 2015). I had
an opportunity to interview the HR manager from Suncor Energy Company Dr. Julius
Namukholoza who has worked in that position for over 8years now. My interaction with him was
very educating especially on leadership models within the HR department and their impacts. The
