period in America
Diversity refers to a situation where one understands each other`s difference and
recognizes his uniqueness as well as the individual dissimilarities. This can be in terms of race,
gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religious beliefs, socio-economic beliefs, political
beliefs, and physical abilities. On the other hand, race is a situation where human beings are
grouped based on their social qualities or on shared physical abilities, which are categorized and
seen as distinct in society. In the past, the race was differentiated through the speaking of the
same language and later denoted to national affiliation and finally physical traits.
Jazz music was also affected by diversity because it was a musical style that influenced
the African tradition. The jazz faced a lot of challenges in terms of growth of their music since
