Introduction
The purpose of the experiment was to determine the rate and magnitude of consolidation for the given soil
sample that was laterally restrained and allowed to drain axially while being subjected to a controlled
stress loading. Consolidation is the process in which a soil sample will decrease in volume due to the
expulsion of water from the void space. After the load is removed from the sample, the sample will regain
some of its volume. For a sand, the increase in pore pressure due to the load will dissipate rapidly because
of the high permeability. For a clay, pore pressure will dissipate slowly due to low permeability. A
deformation versus log of time plot was prepared using the data gained from this experiment. A void ratio
versus axial stress graph was also prepared using this data. The former is used to get the rate of
consolidation and the latter is used to view the magnitude of consolidation.
The rate and magnitude of consolidation obtained for this sample is proportional to the rate and
magnitude of consolidation in the field if the depth of a sample is known. If a soil has a high water
content, a large load such as a foundation, will cause the volume to decrease in a phenomenon known as
shrinkage. It is important to know the rate of consolidation so settlement

San Diego State University Determinants of Health and Access to Healthcare Questions
Now that you know more about the social and structural determinants of health and the differences between primary and universal healthcare, think about your own life. This is a reflection assignment which means your classmates will not see your responses. I know it can be uncomfortable to reflect on our own lived experiences sometimes. Please email me if you would like to talk more about this assignment and any feeling that may come up.InstructionsExplain how health care was viewed in your household growing up and how this might influence your own views of healthcare today. For example, did you and your parents/guardians go to the doctor for regular wellness exams or did you only go when you were sick? Identify a social determinant of health in your own life and explain whether it was beneficial to you or a barrier to accessing healthcare. For example, if we think of one social determinant being the areas in which we live, if you grew up in a big city you might have had more access to healthcare and specialists compared to someone who grew up in a more rural area. Were you aware of the role this social determinant played in your own life before we covered it in this class?Provide concrete examples of how we can address the inequities caused by this social determinant at each level of the socio-ecological model. As a reminder, I have included the SEM below:

All American Career College Nursing Certification Plan Paper
Certification Plan Psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioners currently have only one choice for certification, which is through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The ANCC offers the “psychiatric/mental-health nurse practitioner (across the lifespan)” board certification (PMHNP-BC). In many states, board certification is needed as a prerequisite to being granted an NP license. Even if board certification is not a requirement for state licensure, it may be a requirement to receive privileges in various hospitals and other health care facilities. It may also be required by malpractice insurance providers prior to issuing coverage to NPs. In this Practicum Journal Assignment, you will develop a plan, which will serve as the road map for you to follow to attain your certification. Students will: Analyze state restrictions or limitations for practice Compare PMHNP practice environments in various states Analyze clinical practice issues Create plans for passing national certification exams To prepare for this Practicum Journal: Review the interactive nurse practitioner (NP) scope of practice law guide in your Learning Resources. Review your state regulations and a neighboring state or state in which you would like to practice. Reflect on how to approach relocating licensure from one state to another. Review certification exam requirements for PMHNPs. Write a 2- to 3-page paper in which you do the following: Describe the PMHNP practice environment for your home state, highlighting restrictions or limitations for practice. Compare the PMHNP practice environment in your home state with a neighboring state or a state in which you would like to practice. Describe a professional and/or clinical practice issue a new PMHNP will need to consider and address with the certification, licensure, credentialing, or relocation process. Develop a checklist for passing the national certification exam, including a detailed timeline that includes academic preparation (study plan), registration, financial preparation, etc. Required Readings American Psychiatric Association. MAN 4442 FIU Checked Negotiation History of Dobhol Power Project Paper
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS1. Why do you think the results of the first negotiation were so skewed in favor of Enron?2. In the second round, Enron appears to have traded off equity ownership for increased capacity. Its reduction in tariff of 1 cent per KwH appears to have been absorbed by the larger production quotas and the use of lower-priced naphtha fuel. Why was Enron willing to make this trade-off? Why did the state of Maharashtra get more for its willingness to allow Enron to restart the project?3. What can be learned from the first two rounds of the Dabhol power project negotiations about engaging in big foreign direct investment projects that are highly visible on the world economic scene?4. How did GE and Bechtel’s filing for arbitration move the dispute along?5. What is the difference between GE’s deal versus Bechtel’s deal? Both had the same amount of equity in the DPP, so why was Bechtel able to get $15 million more?6. What general principles can you come up with for foreign direct investors using interests, rights, and power to protect their investments in developing countries?7. What general principles can you come up with for governments negotiating with foreign direct investors?CRITERIONWrite one paragraph (at least 3 sentences in length and have original thoughts/ideas) for each of the questions.Make sure to number each of the paragraphs so that I know which question you are answering. Make sure to reference the terms and concepts learned from the book.Make sure your responses contain original thoughts.
