It is time for you to try out for Criminal Minds and analyze a serial killer. For your assignment choose a serial killer and write a paper answering the questions below. Your paper should include material from the textbook but also must include at least one peer-reviewed source. Paper must not be more than three full pages double-spaced not including citation page. Must use APA for citation
- Provide a brief summary on the crimes of the criminal. (No More than one paragraph)
- Fox and Levin identify three types of serial killers. Which one of those three does the serial killer you choose fit into and why?
- Which one of the criminological theories you have learned about possibly explains the behavior of your chosen serial killer and why? Think of behavior as to why or how that person came to be a serial killer.

Criminal Minds: Edmund Kemper
Edmund Kemper is not the most recognizable name from America’s list of serial killers,
but he is certainly one of the most daunting murderers to have roamed the land. When comparing
numbers with other killers, Kemper cannot boast large numbers, which can make him a figure that
is easy to forget. However, the ten victims that he amassed during his active period were killed in
a very sadistic manner. His first victim was his grandmother, who he killed when he was just
fifteen years old. Even as a teenager, Kemper chose to shot his grandmother three times, twice
after knowing she was already dead. The following murders, on the other, would be vicious and
sexually motivated. Nine more women were killed by Kemper, in different matters, either by
strangulation, stabbing or shooting. After the killings, Kemper would proceed to dismember the
bodies and sexually abusing them, before disposing of them. In only two years, Kemper would
commit these crimes. Kemper would become known as the Co-Ed killer, for his tendency to
abduct, kill and rape the women from the area who were attending college. In many ways, Kemper
