Description

I will upload three files, one has the lab description that you need to write the report. the second has the data , and the last one is the rubric and the way that the lab in organized. please do not copy any of the work from online. please let know if you need some explanation. write as much as you can in the lab report.

Scanned by CamScanner Lab Rubric Introduction(2) 2 – Purpose is complete. Includes specific reference to concept being tested as well as techniques used. 1 – Purpose is missing some specifics of the lab exercise. 0 – Purpose is missing, unrelated to lab, or very poorly written. Procedure & Observations(5) 5 – Procedure is complete and experiment could be redone by using student’s procedural write-up. Important observations are present and meaningful. 4 – Procedure is complete and experiment could be redone by using student’s write up. An important observation or two is missing or not described well. 3 – Procedure is mostly complete, some steps are omitted or are unclear. An important observation or two is missing or is not described well. 2 - Procedure is short and missing procedural steps. Observations are missing. 1 – Procedure is too brief to understand what was done in lab. Observations are missing. 0 – No procedure or wrong procedure is present. No observations listed. Data(3) 3 – Data is complete and organized well in an easy to read tabular form (if applicable). 2 – Data is mostly complete, some disorganization. 1 – Data is missing or is poorly organized. 0 – No data is reported. Data Analysis & Calculations(6) 6 – Calculations are complete and correct. Units are used properly and consistently. Data analysis is insightful and shows an understanding of the concepts involved in the lab. Results are properly interpreted for the student’s data. 5 – Calculations are complete and correct. Units are used consistently. Data analysis is good but does not show depth of understanding of the lab’s concepts. Results are properly interpreted for data. 4 – Calculations are mostly correct with few errors. Units are used consistently most of the time. Data analysis is good but does not show depth of understanding of the lab’s concepts. Results are generally interpreted correctly 3 – Calculations are mostly correct with few errors. Units are inconsistent. Data analysis is brief and/or does not show full understanding of the concepts. Results are generally interpreted correctly with some errors. 2 – Calculations have several errors. Units are inconsistent or absent. Data analysis is very brief and shows little understanding of the concepts. Results are not interpreted correctly. 1 – Calculations are incorrect and/or units are missing. Data analysis is poor or missing. Results are interpreted incorrectly or are missing. 0 – Section is missing. Conclusions(4) 4 – Conclusions restate the original purpose of the lab and state whether the objectives were met or not. Numerical error analysis is done correctly if a standard value is known. Possible causes for error are discussed and are insightful. 3 - Conclusions restate original purpose of lab and whether objectives were met or not. Numerical error analysis is done correctly with few errors. Possible causes of error are discussed well, but not completely. 2 – Conclusions restate original purpose of lab and whether objectives were met or not. Numerical error analysis is done incorrectly or is missing (if applicable). Possible causes of error are discussed but are not insightful (i.e. - human error) 1 – Conclusions only refer to what was done, but not if objectives were met or not. Numerical error analysis is missing (if applicable). Possible causes of error are missing. 0 – Conclusions are missing. Qualitative Analysis – Identification of Unknown Cations
Introduction
Qualitative analysis is the way of figuring out what particles or ions are contained
in a specific example where the segments of that example are not known. In addition,
qualitative analysis centres around the nearness or nonattendance of specific materials in
the example dissected. This is unique in relation to quantitative analysis, where the
spotlights are on the amount or the amount of a material is in an example. Also,
qualitative analysis is utilized in different routes on earth. One precedent is the
investigation of water sources, which depends vigorously on the distinguishing proof of
many cation and anion contaminants in it (Krock, 2017). Diggers additionally transfer on
qualitative analysis of metal examples to evaluate the measure of metal present in the
metal and to asses the reasonability of working. Another model where qualitative analysis
is utilized is to test for metal cations including unsafe toxins which belong to human
bodies when a man is in the basic condition in the clinic.
There are different systems for qualitative analysis used to figure out what cations
could be available in a given sample. The reactions that involve precipitation where used
as the reason for isolating in excess of a cation from one another and precipitantdissolving reagent and spot tests were used to affirm the cation present in the sample
(Krock, 2017). Spot t...
