Almo 1 Adnan Almo Dr. McKe English 1113-TR07F November 8, 2018 Why should banned using mobile phone and texting while driving? Nowadays we call our world such as multitasks world, talents and different brains and unacceptable behaviors, it’s no surprise that most people are driving without a sense of responsibility and caring for their lives and the lives of others. They are eating, talking and texting on a mobile phone, using the radio, talking with the passengers, all that can take a driver’s focus away of the road. Imagine this, it’s a wonderful day, the weather is unbelievable, windows rolled down, the music is quiet, it’s an amazing day. Then you take a look at your phone for a moment, then you made an accident! The question is, how many of you have a mobile phone? How many of you don’t use his cell phone while driving? Honestly, the percentage of people who don’t use their phone while driving is in a decrease because the accidents and the deaths are in increased. Although there are strict procedures by the police and with the increase in advertisements, messages of prevention and with a rise in deaths and accidents, people are still doing this disastrous period. According to the National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA), over the past five years, specifically at the end of 2016, there were around 3,000 car crashes per year, accounting for approximately %10 of fatal accidents. These accidents caused the death of about 3,300 person and caused 410,000 injures every year over the same five years. Using the mobile phone while driving is one of the distractions cited by NHTSA as a fatal accident. The accident rate has been Almo 2 about 410 accidents per year due to misuse of cell phones, representing %13 of all crashes caused by the deviation of the car. About 445 people died in fatal accidents due to the phone. According to Sokunthea in his article “An Investigation Of Mobile Phone Use While Driving” (2018), the use of mobile phones while driving has been a significant contributor of road injuries in the modern world of technology. Over years that mobile phones have been in existence, there has been a significant increase in annual road injuries in America. Before the existence of mobile phones, there were fewer distractions of drivers on the road; this enabled them to focus and concentrate on the steering or rather control of their vehicles. However, in the modern world where technology has taken over, drivers can make a business deal and address other issues over the phone while still driving. It’s risky not only for the driver and also to the pedestrians and other road users. There is no reason enough to justify the use of such devices while on road (“An Investigation Of...”). Records significant decline in medical cases resulting from the banning of use of mobile devices while driving (Marty). Many people have been hospitalized as a result of this unwarranted behavior on roads. Many states in the united states and indeed many countries across the continent have noted the disaster that lay behind the subject topic and the threats it presents to road safety thus enforcing the banning as one of the major traffic safety rules (“Texting And Driving…”). Contends that to ensure that road users concentrate while driving relevant rules must be put in place as a stimulus to adherence to road safety. Road safety goes hand in hand with development of such road safety rules to guide the conduct of road users. Great results have been realized since the coming of this road safety rule (“The Relation Between…”). Almo 3 Arguing that mobile phones cause loss of concretion and distraction when used during driving ignores the broader perception of the diverse factors that as well cause loss of concentration such as psychological factors like stress which may have the same implications on road safety if they occur during driving. In my opinion, negligence which occurs in many forms other than use of mobile phones while driving is the significant contributor of road injuries. According to me, if the road safety rule is to be effective on its purpose, then an effective enforcement strategy that does not leave loopholes for ignorance at any point and place must be designed. Otherwise, the rule is irreverent. In conclusion, Although the laws forbidding texting while driving, a lot of people still feel they have the right to text and use their phone while driving. Everyone has to feel the responsibility and to put the phone down and keep their eyes on the road and drive safely. I completely agree that using mobile phones is the most dangerous thing that drivers can do on the road and they can cause many innocent people to be injured and lose their lives because of the negligence of some drivers. Why should we be from banned using mobile phone and texting while driving?
Americans today tend to believe that the world today is a busy world, where different people
are always on the run to go to work or carry out various activities. they see driving as a time to
finish what they were doing, make appointments, talk to family and friends and also make plans
for the day. Others not only make calls but also eat, smoke, drink or even apply make-up (for the
ladies) as they drive. Others drive while listening to loud music or watching videos. These
activities take the attention of the driver form the road hence posing a danger to the pedestrians,
other motorists and also they risk their lives too. Convectional knowledge claims that texting and
driving is one of the major causes of accidents in the united states of America. Imagine this, it’s a
wonderful day, the weather is unbelievable, windows rolled down, the music is quiet, it’s an
amazing day. Then you take a look at your phone for a moment, and the unthinkable happens,
you caused an accident! The question is, how many of you have a mobile phone? How many of
you don’t use his cell phone while driving? I have heard people say that the percentage of people
who don’t use their phone while driving is in a decrease because the accidents and the deaths are
in increased. Although there are strict procedures by the police and with the increase in
