One of the most significant aspects of any employee in any effective organization is
active listening. Active listening is critical in that it can aid in improving the productivity of an
individual. Being in a position of providing feedback that is relevant, as well as having a
complete understanding of various non-verbal cues are some of the essential traits that an
employee should have. Also, listening is a crucial task for any individual in a day to day lives.
Being an active listener is critical as it will improve your ability to analyze and determine the
solutions of things. However, although listening is very vital, some barriers hinder its
effectiveness. Thus, an active listener always minimizes the barriers and customize on listening
(Fitzpatrick, Sanders & Worthen, 2004).
In the business world, the aspect of listening provides extensive information that is
essential for the growth of the premises. Also, active listening increases your personality over the
speaker. Being an active listener is critical in a two-way communication as it benefits the
employee for the business arrangement. Proper listening and replying to the content of the
speakers shows one moral and behaviors.
I am intrinsically motivated at my workplace. I follow all the standards of ethics as well
as all the procedures and guidelines provided at my workplace. Active listening has been critical
in improving my positivity towards work as well as creating a good relationship with other
employees. The approach has been crucial in helping me motivate myself to do better in
achieving my specific goals. Also, the aspect of following the goal-setting theory, achievement
