Introduction
All health care organizations have the core responsibility of ensuring safety and quality
medical service to patients. Terror threats have become imminent in the world today. A couple of
decades, specific parts of the world were terror targets, but today, the rise of technology has
lowered terror immunity making all places and institutions vulnerable. As a result, terrorists today
strategically target areas where impacts are maximally felt. Among malls, public conferences, and
places of worship, hospitals lie in this category. Therefore, according to Bern (2013), all areas have
to adequately prepare to prevent and combat acts of terrorism. This assignment, therefore, will
focus on public health preparedness in terms of disaster management. The paper will also focus on
what can be incased a terrorist threat occurs. The focus will ensure continued use of electronic
medical record systems as a trend in the medical revolution, the need to accept health insurance
during emergencies, and its effects on quality.
Examine the existing procedures related to at least four (4) of the ten (10) essential public
health services. Focus on the principal effects that these procedures will have on your
hospital during the emergency.
Out of the many services offered in public healthcare, essential services have ten
categories. This means that a medical sector would be considered to be in an emergency if one of
the ten essential services is not provided. Let us focus on existing procedures related to five of
those essential services. Firstly, there are campaigns build across societies aimed at creating
awareness among societal members on the dangers facing healthcare services and to share
information of any impediment. This procedure is related to ‘mobilizing community partnerships
