1. Describe a customer experience you have personally encountered where the good or service
or both were unsatisfactory (e.g. defective product, errors, mistakes, poor service, service
upsets). How might the organization have handled it better, and how could operations
management have helped?
I always get disappointed with the packaging and delivery services when I brought items
online. Some items are broken and some have scratches which make the product
unsatisfactory. For me, the company should organize and train their workers to have good
sorting and distribution strategy on the parcels. Operation management would be a great help to
improve the company’s operation. Improve distribution of product would be better if there is
operation management. Products would be disseminated properly for it is already planned,
organized and controlled. Therefore, operation and management is the key to have an efficient
and effective operation.
