My name is Ravi Kiran Pati, a graduate of Concordia University, St Paul where I obtained

a Master of Business Administration-Information Technology Management (MBA-ITM), with a

GPA of 3.84 (98%). I have a keen interest in applying for the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in

Information Technology program with a focus on cyber security. I have gained adequate

knowledge and practical experiences of concepts that drive information technology and systems

security which forms the bases upon which this program is built.

Prior to my master’s degree, I obtained a Bachelor of Technology in computer science from

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India where I was exposed to theoretical

foundations of information and computation and of innovative practical techniques for their

implementation and application in computer systems, thereby enhancing my logical reasoning and

critical thinking skills. While interning as a software intern, I was involved in several projects

which includes designing the screens for User Interaction, customizing design and validations,

using Spring MVC framework to better control the presentation, business, and navigational aspects

of the application thereby gaining firsthand experience in several environments such as Java 5/6,

J2EE, PL/SQL, Oracle, Eclipse, CSS, HTML, HTTP, XML, XSD, Shell Script, UML, Spring 2.0,

Hibernate, Apache Maven, JavaScript, Jax-B, and Jenkins.

Currently I work as a software developer at Red Leaf ITS with the responsibility of

providing application development and support to partner in the planning, delivery and/or support

of business processes adopting information technology and business practices for strategic

business units. I have actively participated in several projects ranging from developing Java web

services for internal application clients to invoke the Web services for getting information from

the External System, using Adobe Analytics to track user activity on the website and wrote custom

events using HTML and JavaScript, implemented Agile methodologies and involved in sprint

planning, estimations, dividing stories into tasks, and track issues using Jira. Also, I have

developed both Touch UI and Classic UI components using Slightly and many more as outlined

in my resume. I am deeply aware of the importance of an indomitable line of defense against online

attacks, challenges that online security and information assurance professionals face on daily basis

disrupting government bodies, business organizations, and private lives. The growing demand for
