Discussion Question
1. My favorite part in this documentary was seeing various people with disabilities who
were at the Camp Jened come together to form a disability movement. This is because
they were inspired by being treated like complete humans at the camp. This courage to
push society to treat them as complete people and give them the same access to
opportunities was inspiring.
2. When I finished the film, the thoughts that came to me are that the human mind is the
only limitation towards achieving ones goals in life. This is because throughout the
movie, I saw people with disability believe in themselves and were able to achieve great
success in various fields. This goes to show that anything is achievable as long as there is
determination.
3. The protests in 1977 in the movie reminds me of a time that I had a neighbor who had
down’s syndrome. Many children would not pick him to join their team when we were
playing. Sometimes we tend to discriminate people with disability without realizing it.
This movie reminded me of this time.
