Consideration that the government should focus on prior to incurring any expenditure
Before a government considers to incur any expenditure, it should focus on some
consideration. One of these considerations includes maximum social benefit. It is essential for
the government to maintain and discover a viable public expenditure through socio-cost and
socio-benefit balancing. Every coin spent by the should focus on the uttermost benefit of the
citizens. Moreover, the government should also consider the growth of the economy (Porter &
Kramer, 2019). This is because some expenditures are considered meaningless to only affect the
economy negatively. On the other hand, public expenditure should have a positive influence on
producing and distribution of goods and services. It is vital to make sure that expenditure by the
government is exercising a positive influence simultaneously in the production and distribution
of goods and services.
In addition, the government should focus on the principle of surplus. The expenditure
should stay within the limits of the revenue of the country to make sure at the end of the fiscal
year, and there is a surplus left. Besides, the government should focus on sanction as a factor.
Expenditure by the government should be under the sanction of a competent body to avoid
overspending or extravagant expenditures that will hurt the economy.

Fiscal policy is the government mechanism for adjusting the level of expenditure and the
rate of tax for influencing and monitoring the economy of the country (Desai, 2019). Also, it's
another strategy by the central bank for influencing the supply of a country's money.
