Introduction

An individual's personality makes them unique. However, an individual's character is shaped

by learning and the environment in which they develop. The influence of the environment on

personality has long been substantiated in psychological research. (Roback, 1950) The notion

that one's character is significantly impacted by the environment can be discussed in line with the

family, friends, and the day to day situations that people come in contact with on a different

platform. The interrelation connection that exists between families takes a bond that many people

do identify and which leads to who they become. (Ihtiyar, 2018) Another point made is the

impact of a friend; once a friend comes to the picture, some people eliminate themselves from

the family and society, making a new identity. Alternatively, personality can be shaped by the

day to day activities. Given that the community is open to different events, going out into the

world presents individuals with a scenario that chase that shape humanity. The paper discusses

whether personality can be shaped through a detailed discussion of the twin research studies,

Nature and Nurture, and the impacts of the environment through friends' family and the day to

day activities.

Twin Research Studies

The twin studies are highly used by researchers to compare personality similarity that exists

between identical twins and fraternal twins (Rani & Dhanda, 2018). Since the identical twins and

the fraternal twins are reared together similar environment, genetic factors contribute to the

increased in personalities' resemblance. The rate of similarity that exists between any set of twins
