FILM QUESTIONS 2
Question 1
The trailers that I found most interesting were those of The Woman in the Window and
Greyhound. The former talks about a woman with anxiety who is afraid to go outside her
house while the second trailer talks about war. The two trailers are extremely interesting and
captivating. The craft elements in the first trailer create anxiety, suspicion and also sympathy,
as the audience wants to know what will happen to the woman after somebody breaks into
her house. This first trailer uses pathos to capture the audiences undivided attention. The
Greyhound trailer, on the other hand, shows a war in the waters, which is as interesting as it
can be. The events of the trailer look so real, and the audience is constantly at a state of
suspense as to whether these soldiers will survive or not. The two trailers, therefore, were
very effective when it came to capturing my attention.
Question Two.
My first animated cartoon is Sing. It is captivating in that it talks about animals who
sing. The animated trailer also incorporates funny scenes which leave the viewer with a
yearning to watch the whole movie and laugh all the way, which made it capture my interest.
The second animation I chose is Zootopia, which captured my interest because its great to see
how a rabbit cop works. The characterization and elements are interesting, especially when
the bird talks very slowly considering time is running out, which makes the view
simultaneously interesting and funny.
