across the globe on different aspects and building an inclusive practice that is fair to the different
cultures in a specific area. On the other hand, health care means the provision of medical care to
individuals through disease prevention, enhanced diagnosis, treatment of diseases, and other
health conditions to ensure a healthy society. Different individuals in global society have varied
perceptions of disease, illness, and treatment. The varied perceptions are introduced by the wide
nature of cultural diversity across the world. Therefore, transcultural diversity is embraced in
health care to improve the quality of service delivery across the globe. Transcultural diversity in
healthcare entails the dissemination of health care services while considering the cultural
diversities among the patients.
Portugal, Korea, Sweden, and portions of America and the U.K have encountered
intensive migrations hence changing the initial cultural homogeneity encountered (Purnell &
Fenkl, 2019). Besides, national programs have been developed in most European nations to
combat the challenges introduced by cultural diversity within society. The growing impacts of
globalization have also introduced diverse ethics within the interacting cultures. Ideologies on
multiculturalism, postmodernism, and humanism have introduced challenges in the provision of
essential health care to the global society.
However, the integration of transcultural diversity in health care has paved a better way
for the provision of medical care in a transcultural society (Purnell & Fenkl, 2019). A
transcultural society entails a society whose members owe different cultural beliefs and ethics
