As the HRL of the company that operates in different nations, it is good to have an
effective system in place that helps evaluate the performance of the employees. The countries
where our company works are China, Vietnam, the Middle East, the United States, and Canada.
With the system, it will become easier to have suitable rewards to the employees who do perform
well. As well, depending on the working environment, the employees’ work, the performance
rewards can differ. However, the scaling of the prizes should get accomplished and applied
across the entire company. The main reason to have tips is to make the employees feel motivated
hence improving their performance. Also, it will help make the company grow. The rewards
system may vary over different countries basing on the following factors.
The legal mandates in different nations where our company operates depend on the law.
Therefore, the rewards will also change basing health insurance, retirement, travel allowance,
and security insurance. For instance, the current health system in China, known as the national
health insurance started in the year 1995. The insurance gives equal access to the entire people of
the nation; it pays all bills (Hsieh, Chen, 2011). Therefore, as the HRL of the company, only
little amounts of rewards on medical insurance should the employees receive. Also, considering
the transport allowance, China has better transport means. Through this, it becomes cheap to for
one to move from one place to another compared to other nation. As well, China is more stable
and secure, making the employees feel safe. Therefore, both the transport allowance and security
allowance are low compared to other nations. In China, the cost of living is higher compared to
other states because it is a developed country. So, as the HRL of the company, I will allocate
high rewards for the employees in China to make them feel motivated.
In Vietnam, the government cover about 20% of the medical bill per individual, hence
80% come from a person’s pocket. Therefore, the medical insurance reward for the employees
