and importance. Additionally, job analysis is usually mixed with job evaluation; however, both
activities are entirely different. Identifying which tasks workers perform is a complex process,
and the most effective technique when gathering information for a job analysis is to attain
information through interviews or questionnaires. According to Bartolucci, Bacci, & Gnaldi,
(2015; p. 17), an open-ended questionnaire is a useful technique for classified and professional
positions where job incumbents or managers fill out the questionnaire regarding the job. The
technique generates considerable job requirements with employees’ input and permits analyze
many jobs with available resources. Another useful technique is interviewing the interviewer to
attain the essential KSA information from workers to perform the task. The technique of
interview works well for professional jobs in which an interviewer utilizes pre-determined
questions based on workers’ responses.
A similar analysis by Jain, Dubey, & Jain, (2016; p.1) also highlighted a close-ended

can allow an unavoidable response to perform a specific task and related importance and skills.
Interviewers apply these techniques to define a job objectively that enables analysis with the help
of computer models. The crucial elements of a job description must accurately reflect the
responsibilities and duties of a position. A job description includes job title, duties &
responsibilities, work conditions, and required qualifications (Rebore, 2015; p. 257).
From the discussion mentioned earlier, each job analysis technique enables the
interviewer to gather relevant job information to ease the process of hiring or recruitment. The
elements mentioned for a job description also allow managers to gather useful information
regarding employees’ KSA to perform the tasks.
In conclusion, the techniques of job analysis are suited for classified and professional
positions. These techniques are essential for better analysis and to gain insight into the relevant
issues. These are concluded to be effective in attaining relevant job information.

Induction sessions are considered effective for the staff development. This essay will
discuss the four induction sessions that a director of staff development would develop for new
employees.
Induction sessions are considered a welcoming session in introducing new workers to
perform their work in a new profession within an organization. Induction sessions can be
unsystematic or systematic training. The four induction sessions include; “general induction
program, particular orientation program, follow-up induction program, and safety training.” In
the general induction program, the new employees will be welcomed and introduced to their
purposes, practices, and policies. The aim of this induction session to decrease such anxieties
among new employees regarding work structure. The second type of induction session is to offer
operational knowledge that is particular to the location and position. In this session, employees
will know the people they will be working with, desired outcomes from the manager, and the
work’s current status.
A Follow-up induction session is to identify whether a worker is accountably satisfied
with his/her job. It is essential for the staff development officer to follow-up employees’ progress
in the initial weeks or months to identify any conflict of interest or disturbing element among
employees. Lastly, safety training is a type of training that occurs to ensure workers are
safeguarded from injuries caused by work-associated incidents (Rebore, 2015, p. 216).
The above argument shows that the director of staff development can develop general,
particular, and follow-up and safety sessions for the new employees to remove any anxiety.
