1. What are professional development activities and organizational development activities
according to Blau et al, (2008); what are the differences between the two?
Organization-oriented development (ODA) activities are especially aimed at employees who
voluntarily participate in or participate in organizational programs, such as seminars, workshops,
educational activities and courses, which will help employees, learn or apply new skills or
related information for the organization of the company. Professional development activities
(PDA) have a slightly different effect on employees. He focuses on improving a person’s
professional skills so that they can do any other job. Initiatives such as continuing education,
attending seminars, or becoming a member of a professional association can not only help this
person improve their professional status in the company they currently work for, but also
improve their professional status in the chosen career.
