A business is a fruitful organization with the objective of coming up with goods and
services for sale, mostly for profit (Andreasen, 1996). It can also be described as an activity
whereas one entity, usually a person or an organization engages in a venture with another when it
exchanges services or goods for a valuable compensation. Business ethics can therefore be
described as the study of ethical dimensions of productive businesses and commercial ventures.
This includes ethical assessment of distribution, production, sale, consumption, and marketing of
goods and services. These are the moral basics that serve as guidelines on how businesses can
conduct themselves and their transactions. In most scenarios, the same guidelines that people use
to handle themselves in an acceptable manner during their professional and personal settings are
the same that apply to business (Furnham, 2012).
Business ethics has become a common factor in the corporate world. This is because of
globalization and the ease of communication in companies. This has made businesses to
concentrate on ethics. The rules and the fundamentals of a company ought to be maintained since
business ethics are considered very important in many, if not all, organizations. Stakeholders can
be defined as a group of people who have an interest in an organization and can have an impact
or be affected by it (Goodpaster, 1991). They are usually affected by the outcome of a project a
company may be working on. A company's objectives, actions, and policies have to be decided
carefully since stakeholders can influence or be influenced by these factors. They can either be
internal or external (O'Shannassy, 2003). Internal stakeholders are those whose interest in an
organization is due to a direct relationship like ownership, employment, or investment. External
stakeholders are those who work indirectly with the organization but are affected in a way by the
results and actions of a company. Stakeholders may also include people with a significant stake
