External analysis of Sandlands involves analyzing the external environmental factors that
affect the organization. These entail the macro and micro environmental factors. A PESTEL
analysis model can be used in analyzing the macro-environmental factors of Sandlands (Perera,
2017). They include the political factors, environmental factors, socio-cultural, technological,
economical and legal factors. The environmental factors include the geographical locations and
conditions that may affect the sale of wines for Sandlands. It also involves the weather and
climatic factors that may affect the growth process of grapes. The political factors involve the
extent to which the government policies such as taxes affect the wineries company. Sandlands is
operating locally whereby there is political stability which has positive effects on the
organization.
Socio-cultural factors involve the emerging cultural and social needs of the customers in
the wine industry. Sandlands organization is trying to come up with unique wine products to
meet certain social needs of the customers. Technological factors involve new technology and
how it affects the processing of the wines. Economic factors entail the demand and supply
changes that may affect the prices of the wines being processed (Perera, 20117). Legal factors
involve the rules and regulations that should be followed by the company. These regulations are
stipulated by various authorities including the government. Failure to abide by the rules and
regulations may result in fines and penalties.
The micro environmental factors that affect the operations of the organization include the
competitors, the suppliers, customers and partners. Sandlands organization is faced by a variety
