Drug Administration
Process and Purpose of Five Rights
All five rights are intended to aid in the reduction and prevention of medical mistakes.
Aside from giving a pharmaceutical, the medical provider must make entirely confident that the
client, the medication, the dosage, the method, and the timing are all correct (Martyn, Paliadelis,
& Perry, 2019). Whenever any of the following is wrong, the medical provider must not deliver
the drug and seek correction through the proper channels.
Methods of Drug Administration
Medication can be given in a variety of methods. The many ways of administration
include oral, gastrostomy, inhalable, injected, intraperitoneal, parenteral, injectable, nasal, ocular,
aural, optic, ventral, ventral, buccal, therapeutic, and percutaneous. The portion of the anatomy
determines the technique utilized, how the medicine acts inside the system, and the products
formulation.
Placement of the Chest Tube
A chest tubing is attached toward a sealed chest outflow structure that lets air and liquid
somehow be evacuated while keeping it out of the thoracic area. The chest duct’s position is
determined by the contents of the thoracic space (Filosso, Guerrera, Sandri, Roffinella, Solidoro,
Ruffini, & Oliaro, 2017). When the compression force inside the thoracic cavity is interrupted,
causing breathing difficulty, a person might need a lung drainage device. A lung tubing septic
tank should be fixed inside a vertical position and positioned underneath the leakage location.
Inspect for bends and cluttered background in all equipment; for example, look for pipework
