Characteristics that make a good leader differ depending on the company, team members,
manager and the working environment. A good leader should demonstrate the following
leadership traits.
He or she should ensure honesty by always doing the honest thing. This trait makes the
employees in an organization know their stand with the employer. A leader should be focused
and determined to lead employees to achieve the set goals. He or she should be decided on what
steps should be followed be others. Respect is of great importance within an organization for its
success. All people should be treated the same despite their social-economic status (Lussier,
2012).
A leader should always be passionate with anything that he or she does. Despite the kind
of work you do, one should have passion by living, eating and sleeping their mission. As a leader
people should be able to believe in you and most importantly your credibility. The image you
display is everything and how people believe in you, your service, mission, facts or your
reputation are very important to qualify as a good leader. This can be achieved through positive
persuasion abilities (Lussier, 2012).
Being confident as a leader is very important for others to be able to believe in you.
Clarity is a key trait for a good leader, through this one gains confidence since you are real,
clarity enables leaders to accept the right things and refuse the others. Integrity is very important
aspect of every success leader. It earns one respect and the command to be listened to.
Organizations always go for leaders who are honest are able to answer their questions.
