Nike is a famous shoe company comprising the swoosh logo that got incepted in 1962,
and its headquarters get based in Beaverton, Oregon. Nike, since its inception, has gone from
strength to strength emerging as the world's leader in fitness and sportswear. Nike got founded
by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman, and the first shoe got introduce in the year 1972. The athletic
equipment, apparel, and even footwear industry are very competitive around the globe and
within the United States (Kim, 2020). Nike usually competes worldwide with several increasing
numbers of leisure and athletic shoe companies, sport equipment companies, leisure and athletic
apparel organizations, and even large corporations with diversified entertainment and athletic
shoe lines. This company’s major competitors include Adidas and reebok.
Rapid technology advancements and heavy competition with athletic and leisure
footwear, equipment, and apparel market usually bring huge risk factors within this
organization's operations. This corporation is the most prominent athletic apparel and footwear
seller around the globe. Essential aspects of this industry include pricing, new product
development, reliability, and performance of products, as well as brand identity (Brohi et al.,
2016). This company growth can partly get attributed to some external conditions, including
social, political, and even technological, which can get identified through the PESTLE analysis.
Stable political and economic states in various markets around the world allow Nike to grow its
business within these areas.
