The artifact that I selected from the humanities that was involved in a religious controversy is the

Summary of Each Side’s Position

A “Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle tells a story of a young lady who traveled to

space with her brother to save her father, who is a scientist from the evil spirits that held him

captive on another planet. The author wrote the book with the idea of creating a different version

of Christianity. Since then the book has been considered one of the most religious controversial

books of all time. When the book was published in 1962, Many Christians believed that the book

contradicts itself with the religious faith in the bible and modern scientific discovery. Traditional

Christians believed that the author is confusing science with religious beliefs. They also believed
