Essential to employee productivity at 202 Incorporated is maintaining health and wellness. Many variables affect employee health and wellness, but our company has two very specific problems at play. Currently our company has a tobacco usage rate of 35%. Additionally, 44% of employees are getting less than 3 days of 30 minutes of moderate physical activity each week. This program will seek to inform employee about the benefits of physical activity, specifically how more exercise can increase quality of life and lifespan. This program will bring in speakers to present lunch time speeches explaining how to easily increase physical activity throughout their week. Among these speakers will be anti-smoking experts elaborating on the importance of quitting and providing possible options for quitting. By informing employees, we are starting the process of change to a healthier company. Employees will see reduced risk for various diseases including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers.
