The clinic currently only has two available nurses that rotate the shifts working the front desk. No technology is used except for scheduling appointments, everything else is entered and stored manually. Dr. Thompson is considering implementing an EHR system to help get his clinic to operate more efficiently. He wants to expand his clinic size, hire more staff members, and reduce waiting time for patients and workload for his nurses. 4 SYSTEM RECOMMENDATION REPORT The first section of the case study will explain how an EHR system can benefit the Midtown Family Clinic’s process.
