Several barriers that prevent quality healthcare for clients from one culture. To begin with, the
language barrier can be a major problem in delivering effective healthcare from people from one
culture. Poor communication can lead to negative healthcare services. Shared-decision making can be a
problem between the physician and the patient when finding the best diagnostic treatment to be
offered. Various measures can be undertaken to improve the quality of healthcare where the language
barrier is experienced. Translation services can be offered in the hospital and healthcare facilities.
Medics and hospital staff can also be posted to working locations where they can fully understand the
language spoken in that area.
Conceptions based on gender and sexuality from people from one culture can be a barrier in
accessing the best healthcare treatment Studies and research conducted to show that differences in
gender and racism based discrimination can accelerate the inequity to achieving quality healthcare
(Patricia et al, 2019). These misconceptions can lead to serious miscommunications between parties
involved in healthcare services. For instance, people have a misconception that women are susceptible
to cancerous diseases compared to their men counterparts. This can be attributed to the low literacy
levels of the in the communities. Patients level to effectively read and understand can pose a problem
towards accessing quality healthcare. Religious beliefs and comprehension is also a major barrier from
people from one culture. Various fatalistic misconceptions affect the time clients from one culture
access health care services. This includes HIV testing, cancer screening, and body checkups.
Equality based on health is a basic fundamental basic right. Cultural barriers should be
effectively addressed to achieve quality healthcare for all patients. Policymakers and researchers should
ensure that policies are implemented which are aimed at protecting all the citizens’ rights on accessing
quality healthcare. A change in the overall framework of the health system can make the healthcare
