investment and expansion plans, businesses must ensure that they closely and timely manage
their activities. Placing performance measurement systems in organizations is vital in keeping
track of the growth and development of the business. The performance initiatives provide
essential information and lay the beginning point for a target-setting system. Performance
measurement will evaluate how different business areas perform to get valuable information.
Nevertheless, selecting what to evaluate is the main challenge with performance management.
The two common performance metrics for evaluating employees are quality and effectiveness.
Performance Metrics
The quality of workers' tasks is vitally important. Poor quality delivered by employees
leads to inferior products and loss of customers. The kind of work that employees perform
should align with the quality metrics. Quality can be evaluated utilizing a percentage of errors
accrued or product defects in an environment where productivity is essential (Globerson &
