Social psychology is defined by Fiske, S.(2014) as a way in which we explain how
Human beings, their implied, imagined and actual presence, affects individual thought, behavior
and feelings. In simple terms, it is how people influence people; how people are socially
influenced by other people’s behaviors around them. In understanding the human-beings
presence; their implied presence is typically seen as an inanimate object the represents the
presence of an actual individual. Their actual presence is self-explanatory, the real person is
present. Additionally, their imagined presence is the thought that what if they were there what
would they think. Important to note when thinking about social psychology is how people tend
to go with the majority opinion over their own personal judgement. Social psychology helps to
understand the why and how of this phenomenon. In understanding the influence, the cluster-

review done by Asquith,S., Clark,C.L., Waterhouse,L.(2005) social workers act as counselors,

parents because their parents are seen as unfit. Their parent’s actual presence affects the child’s
thought, behavior and feelings.
In regard to organizational leadership and management, social psychology can be applied

that expects good work from you, then that type of leadership will push you to do your best
work. Your boss’s actual presence, even their imagined presence, your bosses’ words in the back

behavior and attitudes of the people you are working for, whether at risk kids, mental patients,
their behavior will act as motivation for you to do your best work.
Social research explores human behavior to grasp a better understanding of individuals
and societies and how to aid in them making better choices. Social research is typically done
when either a small body of information is available on a topic or because the researcher wants
to learn more about that topic. Social research has numerous applications, that maybe specific or
