The 21st century is the era of information because it is easily accessible (Gregory). However, not
every information available to the people is trustworthy. Unfortunately, people can get in trouble
owing to the inability to differentiate the real information from the fake one. However,
individuals can determine the reliability of the information using information literacy
successfully in real life. For instance, an individual is intended to buy a car, and for this, he read
the reviews, it may be possible that he gets negative reviews of some newly released model of
the vehicle. Would he believe the information? The way to determine the reliability of the
information is to consider the credentials of the author and consider cross-checking the available
statistics. Another way is to consider the root sources of the information to assess the
trustworthiness of the information.
