The FLIGBY simulation results show multiple skills and the scores for each of those skills,
giving feedback on which are best and which ones could use more work. Each step in the
simulation allows you to make decisions on possible conflicts that could happen in the work
place and each decision made results in the simulation going in a different direction. The
simulation teaches you how to bring employees in to flow and allows you to hit certain marks
when you are able to do so.
Strengths
After completing the simulation, I found my top three skills were identified as
motivation, recognizing personal strengths and balancing skill. The motivation skill relates to
finding flow in myself by being motivated about the goals that I am trying to accomplish.
Motivation helps to focus on the what is trying to get done and being in the zone, without
motivation accomplishing a goal would be difficult and hard to focus. Having motivation as my
top skill benefits me while trying to achieve flow. Motivation as a skill will also help promote
flow in others, making sure they are at the most focused and productive they can be.
Recognizing personal strength both in myself and others has the potential to induce flow
because those strengths will help each person to remain on task. Ensuing everyone is using
their personal strength as an asset will benefit the organization. Balancing skill is being able to
maintain importance between things and in the same way. Being able to balance one skills will
help that employee achieve flow. If a task is too hard they will not be able to focus and will lose
flow, but pairing an employee skill with a task will result in maintaining flow. Finding the
balance between challenge and skill is ideal for one to achieve flow.
