A person can have plenty of food yet still be malnourished because they are not getting
the essential vitamins and minerals they need from the food they are eating. They are
eating but not the right stuff that their body requires.
Explain why e-cigarettes are unhealthy.
E-cigarettes are unhealthy because they often lack regulations which makes it hard to
say what kind of chemicals they contain. It is also very unhealthy because it is still
smoking and you are still ingesting foregn chemicals. To add to that they still do not
quite know the impacts of vaping.
Why is secondhand smoke an environmental risk?
Secondhand smoke is an environment risk since it is a leading cause of pollution and
contamination in homes. Secondhand smoke is ingested by others around and is
released into the air so it is spread around and can hurt others breathing in the air.
What health risks does consuming a lot of alcohol create?
The health risks of consuming a lot of alcohol creates alcohol abuse, such as
alcoholism. Alcoholism is the action of drinking constantly. This can cause many
problems such as car crashes, increase risks of dementia, stroke, and heart disease. It
also causes alcohol poisoning which can be fatal if not treated immediately. Alcohol also
has an effect on pregnant women leading to miscarriages and physical or mental birth
defects. Another health risk alcohol causes is slowing down the communication in the
brain which impacts decision making and coordination. Like I said before it impairs your
judgement causing you to make poor decisions which can impact you such as losing
your own life or causing others to, Drinking and driving can also affect judgement and
physical skills, so youre reaction skills are slower. Some of the other health risks are
behavior ones such as domestic violence which can harm others health as well,
especially intimate relationships. It also lowers people's inhibitions which can cause
them to do things they normally wouldn't do like engaging in sexual activities or to be
violent. For example when alcohol is combined with secual activity wise choices arent
made leading to unsafe sex which can lead to pregancy or stds. Also with alcohol you
tend to not be in the right mind to protect yourself which can lead to rape or unwanted
sex.
Explain the connection between individual health and a healthy society.
The connection between individual health and a healthy society is that individuals make
up society and when an individual is happy all of society benefits. They can benefit since
the interactions they go through with the individual is positive so it is a chain reaction,
basically the happy vibes are spread throughout. When you negatively impact a person it
can impact their health so with positive impacts the society is happy and healthy.
