Introduction
Whole Foods Market is among the best performing grocery stores in the organic and
natural foodstuff production. It began as a small local store for natural foods and it has expanded
to 430 food stores in the Canada, the Great Britain and United States. (Whole Foods Market,
2013) The mission of the company is to provide high quality products to the customers, most
healthy natural foods available in the market (Whole Foods Market, 2013). Selection products of
the company are seafood, meat, tea, beer, cheese, body care, nutritional supplements and
existence products such as books, household and pet products (Gul, Singh & Jabeen, 2016). The
food industry began to advance and customers’ visit grew to average of 8.1 Million per week.
Marketing and positioning strategy.
The food industry gradually started to change as many customers realized the availability
of other products of high quality in the market. Some of the factors that led to this drastic change
were that clients became aware of what they consumed and how it affected their health (Whole
Foods Market, 2013)Also, they learnt the effects of consumed chemicals in their bodies,
pesticide residues, processed food and growth hormones as well as environmental conservation
which mad them believed biological farming was constructive (Gul, Singh & Jabeen, 2016). Due
to these factors, the Whole Foods Market made a tactical move in the market that enabled them
to withstand economical advantage (Whole Foods Market, 2013)
The Whole Foods industry emphasizes on clients service and offers a pleasant errands for
their customers. They offer quality products pesticides free, hormonal changes and other
manufactured products which may affect their health, farming and community in general (Whole
Foods Market, 2013).This enable the Whole Food to be the best competitor in the market
