The human resource function of a company, is its lifeline. This team is involved in many
aspects of the company such as, hiring employees, terminating them, filing incidents, events that
may go on within the company, and company satisfaction or, dissatisfaction. There are many
more areas that this team can be used for. In order to move an enterprise alongside into greater
success, human sources must be aligned with their organization's strategic plan. When there is
alignment, HR is capable to clearly comprehend when a new employee will be the nice fit, or
whether or not they need to keep looking. It permits them to thoroughly apprehend where any
gaps are, what the most essential positions are, how to perceive and teach potential leaders, and
how to become aware of when a worker is no longer a right suit for the company(Abbott,
2013).
An HR department that is efficient in what they do, can be the motive for employee
retention in itself. If an employee feels heard and supported, and they can make a difference in
their organization, the results will be outstanding for the business. Maersk is a Danish enterprise
conglomerate that is the world’s biggest container transport company. In recent years, especially
after the world recession in 2008, Maersk became an extra globalized company, and noticed sure
poor effects on the company’s team of workers as a result. The senior director of Maersk
Group’s HR, in addition to the department head of HR, collectively has to consider what was
going wrong, and determine a long-term layout on how to restore the troubles that were arising,
such as worker turnover, gaps in education and development, exterior hires, and organization
culture. In short, they needed to come up with a better strategic diagram for the company
(Abbott, 2013).
One of the principal motives that Maersk had to have persevered into such a success in
business, is that they are inclined to adapt and exchange to accommodate for contemporary
