Life without Consequences
Consequences are results or impacts, typically those that are negative or not desirable.
Each decision in life has a consequence. For better or worse, each choice is the inevitable result
of its predecessor. There are no exceptions. When you will agree that a poor choice holds the
seed of its own punishment, why not believe that a successful choice creates favorable fruit?
Living life without consequences would really be good. Consequences are simply
constraints on our independence of everything. We're pretty much restricted from doing anything
at the moment. There is always a "consequence" to any step that we take. It's the same reaction
formula (Davis, and Mellow, 615). A good example is when you are trying to get somewhere in
a hurry that there are speed limits and traffic lights that you have to take keen note of. If there
were no consequences, you’d just ignore the limits and lights and speed to your destination.
There could be total anarchy everywhere but that wouldn’t be wrong because it ever existed in
the past and could still exist again.
Life without consequences would be totally chaotic. People would do anything as they
please knowing no punishment whatsoever would befall them. Any action that people take has
results called reactions or outcomes (Davis, and Mellow, 615). What would be the point of doing
anything if there were no consequences? Would people take necessary precautions? Wouldn’t
the world be a very bad place if there would be no consequences for bad actions? Imagine a
world where crime would not punished simply because there are no consequences. The
consequences of bad actions put people in check.
In conclusion, I feel there are more reasons for life to have consequences. They help keep
us in check. By using our ability to choose our path in life carefully and making the right

decisions, we can empower ourselves to thrive. Make a bad decision, you're going to have a
negative outcome. Make the right decisions and you will succeed in the long run.
