Introduction
International Human Resource Management (IHRM) refers to a set of various activities
targeted at human resource management at international levels. IHRM strives to ensure
organizations meet their objectives and achieve a competitive advantage over its national and
international competitors. IHRM is involved in recruiting, selecting, compensating, managing
careers, training managing performances, and industrial relations at the international level (Stahl,
2016). Additionally, IHRM can also be referred to as a set of activities involved in the process of
hiring, training, managing performances, compensating and relations with the organizations'
employees who are hired to manage internal operations of the organization to ensure the success
of the organizations' international business as well as strategies.
Question 1.
The common factors to effective Human Resource Management are the different
organizational values, cross-cultural adaptation, different management styles, and also the
management turnovers. When an organization decides to take its operations to international
levels, it requires making adaptations to reflect on these factors. Following are some of the
crucial factors in choosing the strategic IHR with the global business strategy approach by an
organization;
Political and legal concerns
Political stability systems differ from one country to the other. The organizations in the
US are accustomed to a very stable and established political system. This applies to many
developed countries as European countries and China as well. Even though leaders such as
presidents, prime ministers, and governors from these countries may change, they interfere with
