Thank you for the post.
I agree that servant leadership enables a leader to prioritize the needs of the followers
before theirs. After meeting the needs of the followers, through service, a leader gains trust and
support from them. As Jesus demonstrated in his mission on earth, at times it takes an example
of a servant to be a successful leader. Indeed, nurses should show servant leadership in their
daily practice. As stewards of care, they should be concerned about patient needs as more critical
than theirs. In such a way, they can create better relationships with patients and their families,
which is essential in promoting outcomes. Further, servant leadership promotes interprofessional
collaboration and communication, which helps in the coordination of care among care teams.

Thank you for the informative post.
As you have mentioned, every good leader should first learn how to be a servant. Servant
leadership entails valuing the followers and meeting their needs as part of encouraging them to
work towards a goal. When employees or followers feel supported, they will be more
cooperative and interested in any proposed projects. Further, considering the needs of the team
members helps eliminate any issues that may interfere with the success of a group project. I
agree that foresight is an important character for a servant leader as they can anticipate and
prepare for any situation. Moreover, such a leader will prepare the team members in advance and
help in achieving better outcomes. The nursing example is relevant as the leader can lay
strategies to avoid patient harm.
