CONTEMPORARY EXAMPLES OF MEDIA BIAS AND PROPAGANDA 2
Compare and contrast the propaganda and bias emerging from jihadist fighters and the
Chinese state
Jihadist fighters and the Chinese state are known for their extreme bias and propaganda
as a way of disseminating information. According to King, Pan, & Roberts, (2017), propaganda
in China simply means favoring propaganda usage mainly by the CPC as a way of swaying
international and domestic thoughts and opinions. In most cases, their intent is to favor some of
the nation’s policies (King, Pan, & Roberts, 2017). In China, the Communist Party usually
engage in censorship based on proscribed views. Apart from that, it usually engages in active
views cultivation. Such views usually favor the government. On the other hand, the Jihadist

its measure of violence the way the jihadist fighters are currently doing. In fact, the Chinese
government tend to fabricate the media, more so the social media specifically for strategic
distraction (King, Pan, & Roberts, 2017). Unlike the jihadist who use the platform to engage in
