Abstract
The Kingdom of Bahrain has a strong legislative system with guidelines on
environmental protection (DEAP, 2015). This case study explores what plants adopt what
initiatives and how the latter complies with environmental laws.
Introduction
The UN considers exhaustions and emissions from industrial plants a major contributor to
the trending global warming. Saving the world from global warming requires the stabilization of
emissions through the adoption of initiatives that control plants’ waste emission (Bahrain’s
Second National Communication, 2012). These initiatives are discussed in the case study below.
Case study
The Bahrain Petroleum Company and Aluminum Bahrain have adopted policies that
seek to reduce emissions through the energy sector. The Initiatives are:
1. Promoting the production and use of renewable sources of energy.
2. The government Action plan has prioritized the building of green applications.
