Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for the Research Assistant position at the Early Risk Study Lab. I

have complete a major in Quantitative Emphasis Psychology and currently working as a senior at

UC Davis. On the first-hand level, I have participated in many psychology researchers through

SONA systems, especially in my first three years in college. For this reason, I believe that I am

the best candidate for the position.

I have vast expertise and experience in psychology discipline, as depicted by my

experiential academic background. At the Early Risk Study Lab, I took part in psychobiology,

statistical data analysis, and children's developmental psychology. I am familiar with Microsoft

office software and have some basic knowledge in R language and python programming language.

All these provide me with foundational knowledge in data analysis, which complements my lab

research skills. My focus on the Upper-Division courses is the children's development, which

includes but not limited to child behavior, social and personality development.

I worked with the Administration Department Internship in Global IELTS International

English School in my first year of college. Among my responsibilities were interacting with

students and patents. This opportunity endowed me with the experience of parsing problems and

then communicating with different departments to solve problems efficiently. This working

experience endowed me with skills to communicate efficiently by phone or in person.

I am eagerly waiting for an opportunity to work in the Early Risk Study Lab as a research

assistant. I believe that it will be an excellent experience for me to work in a psychology research
