Toys are a great way of engaging the children through the impressive shapes and colors
that inspire and provoke their creativity. These playthings stimulate the imagination of children,
thus enhancing creativity, and motivating learning while giving them plenty of fun. Studies
explore that toys spark motivation in individuals at a tender age and this, in turn, determine their
capabilities in future endeavors that require creativity (McClary, 2004). Motivation is perhaps,
the single most determinant of how well individuals learn. Just like the adults, the children need
the motivation to realize who they really are in life. Toys present an opportunity to the children
to experiment with the world around them and in the process expand their cognitive skills. As
such, toys bring forth immeasurable opportunities for growth and learning in which every child
that partakes becomes a success. Besides, these items allow children to nurture their creativity
and put them on the path towards confidence building. In today’s technological world, the media
is filled with all manner of toys, giving children entertainment in various perspectives. How well
the television channels present these cartoons determine the extent to which toys offer fulfillment
to the children.
Toys come in different colors, shapes, and packaging to offer different tastes to the
children. However, it is hardtop ignore the color, size, and shape differentiation for both boys’
and girls’ toy categories. For instance, the toys, which are designed for the boys tend to be dull in
color, large and may take complex shapes. By comparison, those items that are designed for the
girls tend to have brighter colors, small in size and have simple shapes. McClary (2004) notes
that in a way, the media has seems to be actively involved in sensitizing the children alongside
their anticipated gender roles. Such a scenario often applies when the boys mature into men to
take up the complex job opportunities, which might be demanding and requiring a lot of
