In the targeting these three segments, there are various pros and cons which may
critically be encountered. The pros associated with the segment containing the young
professionals who are under 35 years is that it would ensure that the organization has expanded
hence leading to growth for 5%. However, the con is that it is likely to have great competition
from the other organization dealing with the same products. The pros for the mothers with 35-50
would be that they will be willing to associate with the chocolate consumption, especially during
the medication. This would enhance profit generation to the organization and hence a positive
outcome. Despite this, considering mothers whose years lie between 35-50 have a con that they
have uncertainty in terms of determining the strategies which can be executed to match their
needs and wants. The cons associated with foreign visitors who have been traveling to Japan is
that there will be poor decision making due to uncertainty on the number of visitors who may be
expected. However, the pros are that the organization will have the capability in expanding
globally to the other nation hence a chance for further development. Through this, there will be
the establishment of other organizational bases in the other nations whose visitors have been
traveling to japan to access the chocolate products.
Question 2)
Based on the pros and cons of the evaluation of the three segments, I would recommend
targeting the foreign visitors as the key potential customers to murphy in japan. The reason for
this recommendation is that it would ensure that there is the development of the organization. In
the real sense being familiar with the visitors from the other nations creates an opportunity
