Introduction
Incivility is a behavior characterized by a tendency to humiliate, degrade and disrespect
another person. Incivility is a problem that hinders productivity, confidence, professionalism,
efficiency and cooperation among nurses. Incivility can result in higher cases of burnout and

nursing. The article also explores how conflict competence and teamwork competence can help
in solving incivility. The paper will demonstrate that adequate staffing, effective communication,
conflict resolution competence and teamwork competence help in solving incivility in nursing.
