Paula Scher is a well-known American design lady, an illustrator as well as an art educator. Born
on 6

October 1948, Paula Scher is one of the most influential graphic designers and has played
a key role in graphic design in the world (Paula. 2010). Being brought up in Washington and
Philadelphia, Scher has enhanced her graphic design through educating as well as painting. At
the high school level, in Washington, Paula was the school artist and later attended the Tyler
school of art and design where she learned to express her concept in images. At some point of
childhood Paula abstained from graphic design due to tidiness required in artistry but since the
drawing was her interest and hobby she adopted using type to illustrate the approach. This paper
sheds light on Paula Scher’s graphic works, challenges as well as her contributions.
