Strategic planning is necessary for effective implementation of team activities.
Composition of teams is dependent of leadership skills, individual expertise, level of
interpersonal skills and level of conversance to corporate plans.
Introduction
A team is necessary whenever a person needs to address certain needs of a plan. The
team members are required to have different levels of knowledge and display distinct technical
expertise in diverse fields. Different types of teams are designed to deliver team development
programs cited for a particular business. Organization culture is crucial in relation to the
formation of a team.
The first type of a team is a team which is facing new challenges. There is urgency in
adapting to rapid need. Clarification of roles, definition of stakeholder’s links and need to
structure their own communication is necessary in this case. The second type is a team which is
facing new challenges. The challenges include integration of new staff members, a change of
responsibility, the personality clash and there is no clear alignment of goals.
For new or rapidly performing teams, the members get to understand each other and this
will lead to high performance in the team. For the case of this consultancy, there is a pertinent
need for senior teams. This type of team is characteristic of strategic influencing so as to achieve
highest levels of performance. Seniority of team members will aid in unlocking collective
strengths of leaders working together. Organization-wide teams revolve around interaction
between team members with structured communication and essence of clearly spelled roles of
each group member in a team.
