Daily Stand up Meeting
The daily scrum meeting is a meeting that is held each day, at the same time and in the
same location. The daily scrum meeting is held for about 15 minutes, which helps to keep the
discussions brief but relevant (Cohn, 2016). The daily scrum meetings are mostly held in the
mornings to help set the pace for the coming day’s work. The development team and the scrum
masters who are in charge of controlling the meeting attend the daily scrum meeting. The daily
scrum meeting the team members discuss what they did the previous day, their activities for the
day and impediments to their work (Lacey, 2012). The meeting helps to highlight the
commitment of the team members and not a status meeting.
Sprint Review Meeting
The sprint review meeting consists of the product owner, the scrum master, customer
executives and the development team. The sprint meeting is the stage at which the project
development team demonstrates a live project to the product owner (Cohn, 2016). It involves
showing the stakeholders what the development team has been doing. The project is assessed to
identify if its meets the sprint goals determined. The sprint review meeting helps to get reviews
of what has been done from the product owner’s perspectives (Lacey, 2012). It also helps to
measure the velocity of the project and gain stakeholder feedback on the project and whether
changes are necessary.
Sprint Retrospective Meeting
The sprint retrospective is the last thing that is done in a sprint. The development team,
product owner and the scrum master are involved in the sprint retrospective meeting. The
retrospective scrum meeting can be scheduled for up to an hour. While the sprint meetings were
meant to inspect and enhance the product but the sprint retrospective meeting is an opportunity
