better known pointillism.
Other art works in the same movement is the ‘’unique forms of continuity in space’’ by Umberto
Boccioni in 1913. It is a Futurist sculpture of bronze. It is seen as an expression of movement and
fluidity. The sculpture is depicted on the obverse of the Italian-issue 20 cent euro coin. Both
Giacomo and Umberto were in the same movement, Futurism.

Cezanne’s subject later had a great influence on the artists of the 20
th
Century such as Pablo Picasso
and Henri Matisse. His approach eventually influenced other art movements including Fuvism and
Cubism.
Still life with apples is more than an imitation of life it is an exploration of seen and the very nature
of painting. The Basket of Apples valued at 100 million the most expensive apples ever. The

onto the canvas. The texture of the composition is tangible and the marks of his pallette brush can
be obviously discerned.
