purpose of the business and it goes beyond creating value and profit to benefiting the society.
Companies focus on different objectives, all with the aim of organizational success.
With the occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic, many workers are physically isolated and
thus leaving them to question on the important things in life. Many questioned the possibility of
focus on organization purpose surviving the crisis, with many believing that the focus placed on
profit would eclipse that placed on purpose. The connection to an organization purposes steers an
emotional connection between the business and its customers. If these customers are nurtured
properly, they become part of the brand’s identity, thereby becoming the organization’s valuable
marketers.
Times of high stress show the world who the enterprises really are. Employees,
consumers and investors remember the reactions of the business in the aftermath of the crisis.
There are five steps through which businesses can re-create their objectives, embedding them
into the core of the organization and hence driving employee loyalty as well as consumer
demand: give back, while placing focus on the well-being of employees, balancing community
givebacks with an eye on long term marketing effects, executing fair capital allocation processes
that ensure management, realignment, and cost containment remain high priorities, broadening
the imagination of ‘the workplace’ to look at what is possible and what the personnel prefer, and
also doing well while doing good.
