Introduction
Maryland Technology Consultants Inc. (MTC) is an Information Technology consultation firm
that was established in 2008 and uses information technology in offering of measurable results to
its customers. In its development and expansion, the company has established satellite companies
in Virginia Bethesda, Maryland and Herndon. Today, the company has employed over 450
people to enhance its services delivery. In accordance to its business environment, the company
depends on the expertise and performance of its employee in gaining of competitive advantage in
the market (Nissen, 2018). Recently, the company has been operating in an extremely
competitive business environment and has succeeded in making of new contracts on IT
consultation services. In an interview with the CEO of MTC Samuel Johnson he indicated that an
additional talented staff could be quickly hired to address the future needs of the increasing
contracts (Maryland Technology Consultants case study, 2019). The current organizational
hiring process is not cost effective and affects the performance of the organization in different
sectors. Creating effectiveness in the organizational hiring process is among the key targets of
the organization. Implementation of technological solution can improve the current challenges in

bolstering the organizations manpower. The main aim of this Business Analysis and System
Recommendation (BA&SR) is to provide IT solutions that will create effectiveness in the hiring

MTC’s bussiness strategy is all about offering of high quality consultation services and
recommendation to small business that aim to integrate new business practices and technology.
However the business can only accomplish its business strategy through recruiting of skilled
employees to serve its growing market scope. With increases in the number of contracts that are
received by the organization, its staff is expected to grow as well. According to the human
resources director, adding of more of 75 consultants to their staff would increase the company’s
ability to handle its customers. According to the human resources director, the current hiring
process is not cost effective and manual hiring of the employee takes more time and increases the
cost of hiring staff. Failure to hire more 75 consultant within the limited time may burden the
present consultants and may risk the company losing some its contracts. Integration of automated
hiring process strategy will make the hiring process cost effective and less time consumed in
hiring new staff. Among the main goals of the recruitment process (Davis, 2017). Using
automated recruitment procedure will guarantee quality staff.
o Competitive Advantage
Having a well build staff is clearly considered as source of competitive advantage for
organizations. MTC will integrate new recruitment approach that will be influence to
organizational competitiveness. The integration of technology in recruitment of new staff will
make it easier for the organization to inform the human resource on the needed expertise from
the applicants. MTC competitive advantage can draw from offering better quality services at the
same price as their rival. Therefore the skills of the consultant are highly influential on the
organizations competitive advantage (Bourgeois, 2014). Also hiring of more consultants will
make it possible closing on many contracts as possible. Integration of the automated process can
help in determining the expertise level of applicants. The application can have a survey that
