Conclusion
From the case studies, it is evident that situational leadership is very dynamic. It is
evident that in the healthcare setting, an important aspect of situational leadership is concerned
with task behavior, which is rather more traditional compared to the traditional and authoritarian
approach to leadership. Moreover, it is deemed more advantageous, especially during a crisis in
the health care setting. This is an important leadership attribute that assists healthcare managers
as well as frontline caregivers to ensure that they achieve their best (Blanchard, Hodges, &
Hendry, 2016). For instance, the focus on collaboration may be new to new caregivers,
especially during training since most healthcare professionals are mostly rewarded due for their
independence. The reality is that most practising caregivers are required to develop emotional
intelligence to be able to become partners with their patients as well as other healthcare
practitioners. In this regards, healthcare providers soon find patient-centred care which often
finds it possible to deal with a situation at hand and be able to determine the most appropriate
way to lead.
Most nurse leasers are often comfortable with coaching and support, which are
considered as the most collaborative approach towards leadership. In such cases, a leader mainly
emphasizes of relationship with team members. Thus, situational leadership encourages nurse
leaders to become more directive, especially in situations where specific results are necessary
compared to delegating in situations where they develop confidence with team members and
expect flexible results. Based on Biblical teaching, it is illustrated that a master teacher
demonstrates that effective leadership is situations. Thus, effective situational leadership is
mainly driven by the desire of team members. Jesus observed and understood what his followers
